For the second year running we were awarded the Custodian of the Year - Benelux Award at the Custody Risk European Awards in London last night. We have been recognised for our client driven responses to new regulation also.
The judges noted that our Custodian Principles set in stone a new way to clarify what the role of a Custodian should be in the modern era.

Dedication to client service and innovation
The Custody Risk European Awards are awarded by Custody Risk, a European magazine for risk managers in the financial industry. “We are delighted to receive acknowledgment for our commitment to innovation on behalf of our clients in line with our core principles of Secure, Protect, Develop,” says Sikko van Katwijk, Chairman of the Managing Board. “This award shows that the industry values KAS BANK’s focus and dedication to excellence. Over the last year we have worked tirelessly to bring our clients the tools they need to remain in control. This recognition gives us further motivation to continue in our pursuit of excellence in servicing our clients, not only in the Netherlands but also in our growing pension fund service business in the UK and Germany.”
Client driven responses
Alongside this award KAS BANK was also shortlisted for Pension Fund Custodian of the Year and Project of the Year for our Custodian Principles campaign. We were recognised in these awards particularly for our client driven responses to new regulation, such as our EMIR reporting and collateral management tools. We were also commended based on our commitment to helping pension funds deal with the challenges of complex regional regulatory reporting such as that set out within the Dutch Financial Assessment Framework (FTK). The judges noted that the Custodian Principles set in stone a new way to clarify what the role of a Custodian should be in the modern era. We are particularly honoured to have this project recognised alongside excellence in our core services.
